Read more coverage from Japan. Noticed a story about a man rescued at sea from the roof of his house that makes me immensely sad.
“Mr Shinkawa told his rescuers that the tsunami had hit as he and his wife returned home to gather some possessions after the earthquake, and that his wife was swept away.”
Usually, when working, I’m trying to help people sort, manage, and organize their things. I’m going to state something that may be considered counter to what I do for a living, especially considering the list I posted yesterday: Your possessions ultimately mean nothing. There are times when the wisest course of action is to walk (or in this case, run) away, possibly from every stitch of anything you thought made your life.
